Lauramid® application example: Lifts and cable railways
Whenever maximum safety is important, components made of PA 12C Lauramid® are the number 1 choice, for example in the cable railway and lift construction sectors. Coupling rollers, castors and bearing rollers made of the high-performance material have proven themselves in cable railways throughout the world. This area of application is probably one of the most demanding of all. In addition to the fact that passenger transport components are extremely safety-relevant and must on no account fail, challenging environmental conditions often also apply: UV radiation, large temperature fluctuations from freezing cold to very warm, snow, rain and ice. Our Lauramid® rollers also permanently withstand the high impact load that the running gear is subject to, for example when cable cars arrive at the station.
Furthermore, Lauramid® has a responsible role when used for a collecting roller and a flanged wheel on a stair lift and for a drive wheel for the handrail of an escalator.
