Lauramid® application example: Transportation
Day in and day out, year in and year out, they move reliably along the rails: rollers made of Lauramid® move in bus, tram and train doors etc. And seats are also adjusted by means of rollers made of Lauramid®. Due to their long service lives, sliding components made of our cast polyamide are also integrated into the compartment joints in articulated buses, where they are particularly reliable. And that's no surprise as the engineering plastic is a real resistance wonder. It defies abrasion, flattening and large temperature fluctuations. This and the dimensional stability ensure, for example, that the rollers from Handtmann Elteka boast especially good true-running characteristics.
