CONSTRUCTION OF THE NEW LOGISTICS CENTRE IS PROGRESSING RAPIDLY

High bay warehouse and small parts storage are almost finished

Handtmann Maschinenfabrik - work on new logistics centre is progressing rapidly.

In the middle of September, you could still catch a glimpse of the impressive 30-meter high bay warehouse structure (rear centre). Meanwhile the exterior cladding has been fitted. Works on the small parts storage (long building, front right) are almost complete.

Work on the new logistics centre of Handtmann Maschinenfabrik is progressing rapidly. All trades are on schedule. Supposed there are no more serious delays, Handtmann Maschinenfabrik will be able to commence operation in the new building in April 2017, after an ambitious construction period of only twelve months.

By the end of September, almost half of the facade and roof of the 30-metre-high high bay warehouse had already been tight. Meanwhile, the insulation and protective shell have also been fitted. Now, since the middle of October, the remaining facade and roof surfaces are being closed. The storage and retrieval machines were lifted in in the middle of September The major portion of the storage rack has thus been erected. Only minor residual work remains to be done here.

Structural work in the small parts storage has also been completed. The roof and facade are fitted. The racking system is now being erected by Dematic since the middle of September. The concrete for the base plate on the ground floor underneath the small parts storage has been poured. Currently building equipment installation work is being performed.

The foundations and steel structures have also been finished in the third building, which will once house the goods receipt and incoming goods inspection sections. Currently roofing works take place there.

Construction of the container storage, sprinkler tank and sprinkler building and of the East and West truck bays started in the middle of October.

In its finished state, the new logistics centre with its ultra-modern equipment will cover a surface area of over 4,000 square meters.

EMPTIES STORAGE FOR HANDTMANN SYSTEMTECHNIK

Constrained space makes new building necessary

Handtmann Systemtechnik - foundation works for new empties storage.

Foundation works in September for the new empties storage with the building number D80.

September saw the groundbreaking for a new shelter roof at Handtmann Systemtechnik in the Arthur-Handtmann-Straße. This had become necessary due to an increasing number of orders, such as an intake module with integrated supercharge air cooling (SiLLK), change-over damper and high-pressure pump, which also become noticeable in logistics.

The shelter roof will be primarily used as an empties storage. Since early October, the new covered area of 260 square metres is now available. The new building with a height of over six metres thus provides ample storage space and helps improve the tense spatial situation.

At this point, Handtmann Systemtechnik would like to thank Handtmann Service and all companies involved in the construction for the excellent realisation.
