Oelmaier Industrieelektronik becomes Handtmann e-solutions
Biberach, 11th March 2020 – At the end of 2018, the Handtmann Group of Companies acquired Oelmaier Industrieelektronik GmbH & Co. KG, headquartered in Ochsenhausen. The company is now so well-integrated that it is changing its name. On 10th March 2020, Oelmaier Industrieelektronik GmbH & Co. became Handtmann e-solutions GmbH & Co. KG and was incorporated into the Handtmann Group of Companies as its sixth division.
With the new division, Handtmann is tapping into important future technologies, as Oelmaier has been successfully working in the power electronics sector since 1990. In this electrical engineering sub-sector, electrical currents are converted with the aid of electronic devices and programmes. These control systems are a key component of electric and hybrid vehicles. “With its Light Metal Casting division, Handtmann has been an established partner of the automotive industry for many years. We want to continue and develop these partnerships in the electric mobility sector as well. The knowledge, experience and production opportunities of the former Oelmaier Industrieelektronik are an excellent basis for this,” explains Company Director Thomas Handtmann.
In the months to come, the new Handtmann e-solutions division in Ochsenhausen aims to concentrate on three areas. First of all, the division plans to continue to develop and produce customer-specific solutions for power electronics. In addition, Handtmann e-solutions will launch its own range of modern welding equipment with proven technology. It also intends to push ahead with the expansion of its electric mobility offering, in particular with the assembly of battery systems for electric vehicles.
Renaming the company will not have a noticeable impact on the staff and customers of the new Handtmann e-solutions. “The mood within the workforce is positive. We are all optimistic that belonging to the Handtmann Group of Companies will mean good prospects for the future,” explains Klaus Haas, authorised officer at Handtmann e-solutions, formerly Oelmaier Industrieelektronik.
