37 young people are starting their careers at the Biberach site

The progression from school to the professional world is not simple. To make this giant stride a bit easier, the first three weeks at Handtmann always focus on getting to know one another.

In addition to tours of the Handtmann plants in Biberach, numerous informative events, seminars and training courses are also held in these first few days. Before the career starters then begin their normal training programmes in the relevant departments, they also attend a four-day team training course in Wangen in the Allgäu region.

Outstanding prospects

Professional training, which takes 2 to 3.5 years depending on the chosen career, has always been extremely important at Handtmann. A great deal is invested in ensuring that up-and-coming skilled employees and managers are not only offered attractive future prospects but also a secure job. Currently, just over 120 trainees and cooperative education students are training at the Biberach site. “The young people can look forward to a wide variety of development opportunities and interesting work at Handtmann,” explained Training Manager Ruth Berg.
