The Handtmann team once again demonstrated its innovative strength at the IFFA 2022. Concepts for a modern, integrative production including digitalisation and automation were presented and new impulses for food innovation and future foods set on a trade fair stand area of more than 2,000 Sqm. New information tools invited visitors to navigate through new technologies and experts from sales as well as product and industry management provided in-depth consultation. Live demonstrations of the numerous exhibits further enlivened the trade fair stand, which with its urban character reflected a lively and intensive Handtmann world on the six days of the trade fair.

IFFA FACTORY Live Production
The IFFA Factory is a fully assembled production line on which a meat product and a plant-based product were alternately produced on site. We moderated the production process live and provided information on recipes, ingredients and our technology. The results could be tasted live on site.
Manufacturing of Plant-based products
THE trend and represented for the first time IFFA: plant-based proteins. In our lecture at the IFFA FORUM we presented the do's and don'ts in the manufacturing of meat substitutes.

In production, the Altmärker Wurst- und Fleischwaren GmbH relies on state-of-the-art technology and has been collaborating with Handtmann for many years already. Multiple vacuum fillers are used for the production of any sausage, be it boiled, cooked or dry. The vacuum filler is well suited for a number of applications. In the packaging department, Altmärker uses a vacuum filler with the DS 552 depositing unit for the production and packaging of spiced minced meat. What Altmärker particularly likes about the Handtmann machines is their portioning accuracy, the flexibility for a wide range of products, the simple cleaning and, above all, the gentle handling of the product for top quality.
ANGELE COUNTRY BUTCHERY
The motto “simply good!” of Angele country butchery puts the company’sphilosophy in a nutshell : the country butchery is successful in its third generation because it focuses on the classic and traditional butcher'strade. The “sausage kitchen” is equipped with state-of-the-art technology from Handtmann, including a brand new VF 810 vacuum filler. “Everything in production has to work seamlessly hand in hand to ensure economic efficiency. This responsiveness also guarantees the freshness of the processed sausage products,” Angele is convinced and adds: “We have customers coming to us from up to 100 kilometres away. This confirms the excellent quality of our goods, which we produce with Handtmann machines.”
Granby Ltd is a meat products factory in the very heart of Dublin’s city centre. A family company founded by John Kavanagh 87 years ago. Today it is managed in third generation by his grandsons Eoin and Maurice Kavanagh. A long-term partnership with synergy effects: Granby has been a Handtmann customer for more than 50 years and, since then, has not bought a single filling machine from a different manufacturer.
