Our time slot management system supports fast, smooth and transparent deliveries & pick-ups @ Handtmann Filling & Portioning Systems, Biberach up from 1st February 2024.
~ Note ~
Our time slot management is only relevant for you if you carry out the delivery / pick-up yourself.
If you commission a forwarding agent, please inform them of the change.
There are no changes for you in the case of delivery / pick-up by a parcel service provider.
- Elimination of waiting and idle times through on-time dispatch
- The handling process is webbased accompanied;
the driver you instruct receives the information he needs at the relevant time in a language he is familiar with on his mobile phone
- Navigation supports the immediate location of the gate you have advised on our premises
- The reference transmitted when booking the appointment and the documentation provided in advance enable us to make a clear assignment;
this eliminates time delays to clarify ambiguities
- Your notification enables us to prepare your pick-up / delivery on time, so that we can minimise the time required for your truck dispatching
Registered arrival
- Your company must be registered before the first appointment can be created in our booking portal. If your company has not received an invitation to register on 1st February 2024, you can apply for your admission using the registration form at the end of this website.
Once you have registered, you will be able to book appointments at the gate relevant to you in the same way as you create meetings in MS Outlook.
You can also set up access to the portal for any number of colleagues. Instructions on how to do this are provided in our user manual.
- Once the appointment has been booked, we will summarise all relevant information for you in a booking confirmation email. The prerequisite for this is that the notification settings in your booking portal account has been adapted as described in our manual.
- Appointments can be booked two weeks before the desired arrival date and up to 8 p.m. the day before.
- If a same-day delivery / pick-up is required at short notice, your HANDTMANN contact will coordinate a suitable date with you and book it for you. Alternatively, appointments can be booked on the same day by the driver in our entrance area. We ask for your understanding that there may be longer waiting times depending on the scheduled occupancy of the gate. Any demurrage charges incurred will not be covered.
- On time arrivals can be expected to be dispatched immediately. This eliminates waiting and idle times for you and your driver.
- If your driver arrives early, he can still register digitally immediately. The staff working at the gate will be informed of your driver's arrival and may be able to process him earlier.
- Case too late: A delay tolerance of 15 minutes is granted. If the driver arrives more than 15 minutes late, he can still register digitally immediately. The staff working at the gate will be informed of your driver's arrival. They will endeavour to process them promptly. We ask for your understanding that there may be longer waiting times depending on the scheduled occupancy of the gate. Any demurrage charges incurred will not be covered.
- Case without appointment / arrival outside opening hours: If a driver arrives at our premises without an appointment / outside opening hours, he is asked to go to our reception area. It is possible to book a same-day appointment there. If the arrival is outside our opening hours, your driver will be informed in the reception area whether it is possible to be dispatched same day.

On-time truck dispatch
- On time arrivals can be expected to be dispatched immediately.
- Waiting and idle times will be eliminated.
- We ask for your understanding that we cannot guarantee immediate dispatch in the event of a delay of more than 15 minutes. If your driver arrives within our opening hours, we will endeavour a samy day dispatch. Otherwise we ask you to make a new appointment. Any demurrage charges incurred will not be covered.

Monday - Thursday: 07 - 15 o'clock
Friday: 07 - 12 o'clock
Break times:
Breakfast: 09.15 - 09.30 o'clock
Lunch break: 12.00 - 12.30 o'clock
* Gate & day-specific deviations are possible. The respective valid opening hours will be displayed when you book your appointment.
Digitally accompanied
- Communication between us and the driver takes place digitally via our online portal, which your driver can access using his mobile phone.
- Your driver can access it by scanning the QR code that we provide at our driveway.

- Language barrier? Not with us! Our online portal offers a comprehensive choice of languages so that your driver has access to the information relevant to him at any given time in a language he is familiar with.
- Navigation on the factory premises makes it easier to locate the relevant gate.
- Based on the reference transmitted when booking the appointment and the forwarding documents provided in advance, we can allocate the goods immediately so that we can hand over the consignment already prepared for you or accept your delivery without delay.

- From 1st February 2024, our time slot management system will be available for you to familiarize yourself with and try out.
Registered deliveries / pick-ups will be given priority.
From 1st March 2024, notification will be the prerequisite for the truck dispatch of a delivery / pick-up.
- Provision of a reference is required for every notification. It’s the prerequisite for self-registration of the driver on arrival at our premises.

- The effort for a delivery or pick-up will be minimal for you, as there will be no time delays to clarify ambiguities and we can ensure all preparations for a smooth and fast process in advance.
