The Fleischerei Technik Award ceremony took place on the occasion of the Anuga FoodTec in the Kongresszentrum Nord on Wednesday 21st March 2018. Here, the announcement was: the award in the category of AUTOMATON goes to Handtmann Maschinenfabrik.
Award-winning intelligent linking of processes
The renowned trade journal “Fleischerei Technik” decorates groundbreaking developments in meat processing with the Fleischerei Technik Award. The newly-developed GS 300 collating system from Handtmann won the Automation category. The GS 300 is a handling system for the automatic depositing of fresh fried sausage into tray packaging. The jury pointed out that the collating system developed by Handtmann is a perfect example of state-of-the-art, interdisciplinary technology and the intelligent linking of processes.

And it is also the world of Handtmann. “This award demonstrates how innovative the Handtmann Maschinenfabrik is. We are pleased that our new developments have been well-received on the market. Many existing and new customers from the meat processing industry have already placed orders, and others would like to test the system in the Handtmann Forum in Biberach,” explains Karl Keller, managing director of the Handtmann Maschinenfabrik, very pleased at the award ceremony.

Automation solutions from portioning process to packaging.
The GS 300 collating system combines the features of the portioning process with the functions of collating, feeding and depositing directly into trays. It is suitable for fresh sausages and sausage-shaped products in natural, collagen or alginate casing. Sausages in alginate, natural or collagen casing can be automatically deposited into trays or thermo-forming machines. Depositing in single-cut portions or pairs is possible.
