Handtmann Maschinenfabrik completes the restructuring of its corporate management with the appointment of Dr. Mark Betzold as the new Managing Director for Production and Technology (CTO). Valentin Ulrich heads the Finance, Controlling, Services and Infrastructure divisions (CFO) as Commercial Director. Harald Suchanka was appointed CEO and is also responsible for all sales activities of the machine manufacturer in his role of CSO: "With Dr. Betzold, the management team is now completely in place and I am looking forward to driving our ambitious growth targets forward with him and Mr. Ulrich. With his technical expertise and many years of management experience, Dr. Betzold is the ideal addition to our management team."

Born in the Bavarian city of Gräfelfing he brings the necessary expertise for his new responsible task in the Handtmann Filling and Portioning Systems division. After studying mechanical engineering, specialising in production technology and subsequently gaining a doctorate in engineering at the Laboratory for Machine Tools and Production Engineering of RWTH Aachen University, he spent more than 15 practical professional years with management experience in various technical functions at the SIG Combibloc Group, a leading systems and solutions provider for aseptic packaging with headquarters in Neuhausen, Switzerland. "My new job at Handtmann, a company in the extremely dynamic food processing market, is particularly interesting. We want to further expand our position as market and technology leader for future-proof solutions, and the production and technology area plays a decisive role in this," says Dr. Betzold.
