“Made in Germany” means "Made by diversity’": Initiative of German family businesses calls for democratic commitment

The Handtmann Group of Companies is part of the “Made in Germany - Made by Diversity” campaign. With this campaign, over 40 companies are taking a stand against populism and xenophobia in advertisements and social media.
German family businesses stand up for diversity and tolerance
Under the motto “Made in Germany - Made by Diversity”, we and more than 40 German family-owned companies are calling for more tolerance and openness in society. Together, we are also using a nationwide advertising campaign to show that diversity is also a success factor from a business perspective.
As a family business with employees of different origins, religions, ages and genders, the Handtmann Group of Companies supports this initiative. Markus Handtmann and Valentin Ulrich emphasize: “Our company benefits from the manpower and expertise of people from all over the world. In Biberach alone, for example, we employ people from over 40 nations. The first “guest workers” from Turkey came to Biberach in the mid-1960s. Some of them have been contributing to our success for several generations. The diversity and commitment of our employees are crucial to our innovative strength and competitiveness. We are actively committed to creating a respectful working environment in which each individual can flourish. We are diversity - We are Handtmann.”
